About Tim L Faulkenberry
As the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery for St. David's Medical Center, Dr. Faulkenberry excels in advanced laparoscopic surgery including antiflux surgery. He is board certified in general surgery and performs surgeries for thyroid and parathyroid disease, breast diseases, advanced hernia repair and cancer of the digestive tract.
Dr. Faulkenberry performs laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding, gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, StomaphyX, and revision procedures for the treatment of chronic obesity. After a rigorous examination of his surgical outcomes and practice, he was awarded the distinction of being an ASMBS Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence Surgeon.
Dr. Faulkenberry received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Texas Medical Association, and the Surgical Society of Austin. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
A native Texan, Dr. Faulkenberry has lived in Austin for more than 20 years. He enjoys hunting and is an avid youth sports enthusiast and coach.
